1. Who can play

• You need a Google account with a verified email address to play. Signing in confirms you are a real person.
• One account per person. Don't share your account or sign in as someone else.
• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission before making any purchase.

2. How the game works

• Pick a city and a year. Choose any real city on Earth and any year from its founding to today. The map uses real coastlines, rivers and streets from OpenStreetMap.
• Zone land. Residential (homes), Commercial (shops and offices) and Industrial (factories). Buildings only grow on zoned land within 3 tiles of a road.
• Watch demand. The R, C and I bars show what your city needs. Jobs attract residents, residents need shops, and industry needs workers.
• Power. Electricity arrives in 1882. After that, unpowered buildings stay small. Roads and zones carry power, and power lines cross empty land.
• Services. Police, fire stations, schools, hospitals and parks raise land value, and high land value is what lets towers grow.
• Budget. Taxes pay for upkeep. Taxes that are too high slow growth and hurt your approval rating.
• History happens. Real events such as plagues, wars, booms and crashes change demand, and new technology unlocks as the years pass.

3. Credits and purchases

• Credits (💎) are an optional in-game currency. You can earn some through daily rewards or buy them with real money.
• Credits and items bought with them are a limited, personal license to use inside Timeburg. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold, traded or transferred to another account.
• City boosts (for example treasury grants or a Golden Age) apply to the city you are playing when you use them. Unlocks (for example Wonders of the World) apply to your whole account.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable. See our Refund Policy.
• Limited-time offers show their real end time. When it passes, the offer is gone.

4. Fair play

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or modify the game, its network traffic or its saved data to gain credits or items;
• use bots, scripts or automation to play, sign up or claim rewards;
• attack, overload or try to break into our servers or other players' accounts;
• file false payment disputes or chargebacks for purchases you made;
• use the game for anything illegal.

If you find a bug that gives free credits or items, please report it to us instead of using it.

5. Saves

Your city is saved in your browser. Clearing your browser data, or switching device or browser, can remove saved cities. Your credits and unlocks are stored on your account and follow you when you sign in.

6. Admin accounts

Timeburg staff use admin accounts to test the game and store. Admin accounts can use items without spending credits. Test purchases made by admin accounts are not real sales.

7. Enforcement

If you break these rules, we may remove credits or items gained unfairly, reset progress, or suspend or close your account. Credits and items on a closed account are not refunded. We try to be fair and will tell you why when we can.

8. Changes

We may update these rules as the game grows. We'll change the date at the top when we do. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new rules.
